WASHINGTON, D.C. – Today, Citizens for Responsible Energy Solutions (CRES) Forum Director of Policy and Advocacy Charles Hernick released the following statement on the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission’s (FERC) final ruling regarding the Department of Energy’s grid proposal.
“A thoughtful conversation about the state of America’s electrical grid was long overdue. CRES Forum appreciates FERC’s careful consideration to reach today’s decision, and we urge the Commission to continue to recognize the value of diverse energy sources contributing to our nation’s grid in their new proceeding. We also appreciate Secretary Perry prioritizing a strong and resilient grid and look forward to working with the Secretary, others in the Administration, and Congress on an infrastructure modernization bill to enhance reliability, lower costs for American consumers, and stimulate growth and competition in the energy sector for years to come,” said Hernick.
