Greentown Labs, the largest climatetech incubator in North America, has a newfound friend in GE Vernova. The incubator recently announced GE Vernova as its newest “Terawatt Partner,” the highest level of engagement for Greentown. This partnership will provide GE Verona with a community of climatetech startups, participation in Greentown’s Industry Leadership Council, and the opportunity to accelerate American energy innovation.
GE Vernova is an energy company that includes power, wind, and electrification businesses. Their mission is to provide electricity to the world while also pushing to decarbonize where possible. GE Vernova provides 30% of the world’s electricity and has positioned themselves to be among the biggest and best climate-focused organizations.
“GE Vernova embodies what we’re looking for in a partner: energy transition expertise with a deep commitment and passion for innovation, collaboration, and decarbonization,” said Greentown Labs CEO and President Kevin Knobloch.
This partnership will provide both parties the ability to collaborate on realistic solutions to accelerate decarbonization and strengthen the United States’ role as a global leader in emissions reduction. GE Vernova CEO Scott Strazik said, “Whether it’s innovating new technologies, the industrialization of products, or leveraging our relationships globally, we are eager to collaborate with this unique and important group of entrepreneurs, innovators, and leaders.”
CRES Forum applauds GE Vernova for pushing to provide customers with affordable, reliable, and cleaner energy, and we look forward to seeing what innovative technologies can be achieved through this new partnership.
