Citizens for Responsible Energy Solutions (CRES) Forum today welcomed Ewelina Czapla, an experienced energy policy analyst, as Director of Climate Policy to its expanding policy team.
“CRES Forum is delighted to welcome Ewelina to the team as the Director of Climate Policy,” said CRES Forum President Heather Reams. “Ewelina brings vast experience in a range of energy policy issues, which will be invaluable to CRES Forum, especially as we continue to build on the success of our white paper series, ‘Understanding the Facts,’ and educate the public and policymakers on durable clean energy solutions.”
Czapla joins CRES Forum from the American Action Forum (AAF), a center right think tank, where she served as the Director of Energy Policy and analyzed free market energy and climate policy solutions. Prior to AAF, Czapla worked for Arbo, where she advised clients on regulatory issues that arise throughout the planning, siting, and operation of energy infrastructure projects.
“I’m excited to support CRES Forum’s ongoing work developing policies that address climate change from a conservative perspective. The CRES climate policy directives set up a commonsense and powerful route to actionable climate solutions,” said Czapla. “At the American Action Forum, I had the opportunity to consider the effectiveness and economic impacts of energy and climate policies, and I look forward to continuing to analyze proposals, model outcomes, and chart new tools for policymakers to employ with the dynamic CRES Forum team.”
Czapla earned a J.D. from the Columbus School of Law at the Catholic University of America, as well as a Bachelor of Science in Geological Sciences and a Bachelor of Arts in Philosophy with a concentration in Public Affairs from George Washington University.
Earlier this month, CRES Forum launched a white paper series titled, “Understanding the Facts,” which aims to examine the United States’ most critical climate and clean energy issues. In her role with CRES Forum, Czapla will work with the senior team to strategically plan, manage the workflow of, and generate substantive content for white papers and policy analyses to provide real-time policy recommendations.
