To highlight Congress working to advance an all-of-the-above energy approach, CRES Forum hosted a reception entitled, “Unleashing Energy: Removing Regional Obstacles for Growth,” bringing together Republican members of Congress, senior congressional staff, industry leaders and energy policy experts.
CRES Forum President and CEO Heather Reams opened the evening with brief remarks, touching on the importance of removing obstacles to diversify the nation’s regional energy creation. She also highlighted a recent Member roundtable held by CRES Forum that focused on abundance derived from the unique geological benefits across states.
Reams continued the programming, thanked guests for coming and introduced Chairwoman of the Conservative Climate Caucus Mariannette Miller-Meeks (R-Iowa), who spoke on the need for a true “all-of-the-above” approach to energy creation and how her home state’s energy demand is rising. She also touched on Iowa’s unique energy needs.

Congressman Andrew Garbarino (R-N.Y.) discussed how critical permitting reform is to take full advantage of each state’s available resources. He highlighted current legislation—the SPEED Act—that passed the House in December and how critical it is to get that to President Trump’s desk.

CRES Forum is proud to partner with Members of Congress who understand the importance of crafting commonsense conservative solutions to our nation’s growing energy needs.
As we continue to work during the 119th Congress, CRES Forum will advocate to bolster American energy dominance, support policies that boost economic growth and work with legislators looking for bipartisan solutions.
